Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to identify basic anatomy and physiology of greyhounds, relate anatomy and body systems to the performance of racing greyhounds and follow illness and injury management plans provided by veterinarians for greyhounds, including the practical care and management of racing greyhounds.The unit applies to trainers and others in the greyhound racing industry responsible for relating anatomical and physiological features to the care and treatment of greyhounds.Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit. Users are advised to check with the relevant Principal Racing Authority for current licence or registration requirements. | ||
